ioSphere develop first flat antenna for SWARM

A great quote from 'The Lean Startup' by Eric Ries
is that small businesses win because they learn faster.

At ioSphere we do everything we can to maximize that advantage of our size.

Including setting aside a percentage of our engineers', time to pursue their crazy ideas, that might just give us the edge - if they work. Because sometimes they do work. Like today!

Here we are testing out what we believe to be the very first low profile "planar" antenna for the brand new Swarm Technologies satellite network.

Our mission at ioSphere IoT is to provide a set of beautifully simple tools; including our unique industrial gateway, a range of housings, superb configuration software and a range of brilliantly designed antenna options - that will make the deployment of Swarm within an organization's IoT program easier than any other satellite IoT data system.

There are loads of applications where the upright antenna we typically use might be problematic. e.g. on trains going through tunnels, on top of silo lids and freight containers.

We knew that designing a small, reliable, flat antenna for Swarm's VHF frequency would be very hard. But not, as our guys have just demonstrated, impossible.

Here is our brand new planar antenna, which is working brilliantly.

Amazing work Aidan and Jeff. Huge thanks to our various antenna advisors for helping the team deliver this great bit of engineering.
